A : Polyester is an oil based product and when woven into yarn it has a far greater degree of elasticity than cotton yarn. This helps to prevent creasing after washing. The polyester yarn helps hold the bed linen in shape and doesn't shrink. The problem is, it can be quite uncomfortable to sleep under and hot in the summer. The truth is, if a high quality cotton yarn is used and the finish is done properly, 100% Cotton bed linen shouldn't crease that badly and any creases should fall out after a few hours use so if your sheet is mixed between polyester and cotton ,you will get the easy sheet and good feeling sheet but it is up to percentage of cotton and polyester.
A : Yes we recommend that you do. The cloth has come straight from the finishing process and so will have a slight smell of finishing. One wash will remove this. The first wash will also allow the bed linen to shrink to the correct sizes.
A : Your sheets will last longer if you follow the "three set rule": one set on the bed, one in the linen closet and one in the laundry. This way, your sheets can last three times as long, because each set will be laundered less frequently than a single set would be.
Be sure to wash brand new sheets before putting them on your bed. Machine wash according to the instructions on the care label with similar colors and then tumble dry on medium heat.
A : Closely woven, plain weave, spun fabric made from both carded and combed yarns. Percale sheeting is the finest sheeting available. The high thread count gives the fabric a soft, silk-like feel.
